PRESS RELEASE

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Coalition Of Latino Clergy And Christian Leaders (CONLAMIC) will host a Latino Evangelical Pastors Conference in Denver CO, on January 2010.
Same regional conferences are happening around 21 cities, the next event scheduled for McAllen TX in October.
The main purpose of these Conferences is to empower latino evangelical churches on a call among undocumented immigrants christians, not to participate at the census 2010, unless Congress pass comprehensive immigration reform.
As per reports from our affiliates in Colorado, the "census boycott as a pressure strategy for CIR" is going well among the inner city and rural hispanic non denominational ministries and churches.
"The census people and members of the Colorado House of Representatives are going to be seriously surprised if CIR is not accomplished by April 1, 2010.
Our church members are frustrated with the anti-immigrant animosity developed already and the lies that organizations as NALEO are spreading around, to counter our efforts known as "legalization before enumeration".
CONLAMIC Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Reverend Miguel Rivera and Nativo Lopez, President of the Mexican American Political Action (MAPA) will be on tour on Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and California at the beginning of the year.
"Our movement is a one of faith, truth and integrity. Small churches and true immigrants advocacy groups are understanding the strategy. This is a radical and out of the box approach, because perilous times require strong, bold and radical actions to accomplish change and social justice.
The pulpits of our churches and homes of our brethren is more than enough to impact a whole community with a message of truth.
The truth is that, NALEO and those who called themselves latino advocates, are trying to lure the descent and honest latino undocumented immigrant to step out of the shadows, be counted for political and economical purposes which they do not benefit at all and then urged to return to the shadows of discrimination and racial intolerance. This has to STOP and latino evangelical pastors are willing to be ridiculed, but the TRUTH will be known to all. Antes De Contar Nos Tienen Que Legalizar.
